I have now spent eight winters in Minnesota. I still haven’t fully excepted the winters here.
I do not own snow pants.
I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve gone out to play in the snow. Yes, that means I keep my daughter inside. I let her daycare provider take her out to play in the snow, thank you.
I still think it’s weird that my nose hairs freeze on those sub-zero days.
I just bought my first pair of mittens – I’d been a glove girl up until this point.
So I thought this year I’d embrace the snow. After all we’ve had record snow fall this year. What a better way to embrace the snow, than to plan a snowy valentine’s day themed session? Chad and Heather are true Minnesotans, and they agreed to what I thought was a crazy idea. They brought along their many winter accessories and even made snow angels for me.
Luckily it warmed up this weekend – a balmy 32 degrees! Next time I plan a snowy session, I need to remember that when we’ve had 52+ inches of snow fall, standing people in the snow makes them look funny with their feet cut off. Perhaps snowshoes are the prop to bring.
Rachel, Great job! These guys look so sweet. What a beautiful setting! You did a great job of of keeping your subjects “thigh up” so I didn’t even think about their feet.
I could not be more impressed! Such a wonderful, whimsical session
LOVE it!!!! Awesome job!!!
These are lovely, Rachel.
