as a mother, i know how important it is to document the powerful and emotional event of giving birth. being able to look back at the intensity of labor, followed by the indescribable joy of holding your newborn for the first time is priceless. allowing me to quietly and discreetly document the details of this monumental day frees up your partner and family members to fully experience this life changing occasion.  by allowing me to take on this responsibility, i’m able to capture the intimate interactions between you and your loved ones that would have otherwise been missed.
it would be an honor to create a photo documentary of your labor, delivery and baby’s first hour of life. whether you choose to deliver in a hospital, birthing center, or at home, i will try to remain as inconspicuous as possible. i use natural and ambient light as much as i can, and use the flash very rarely so as not to interfere with your birth experience.

i take special care to capture each detail you want to remember. during your third trimester, we meet in person to discuss your wishes, expectations and anything you are not comfortable with. this meeting also gives us the opportunity to get acquainted and will help ease any anxiety you may have about inviting a stranger into the room on your delivery day.

i limit the number of birth sessions each month, so reserve your month well in advance. birth photography fees must be paid in full in order to reserve the time surrounding your due date. payment plans are available upon request.

during the days surrounding your due date, i’m on call 24/7. please contact me as soon as you think you may be going into labor so i can start preparing and rearranging my schedule. contact me again once you leave for the hospital and when your midwife or doctor confirms you are in active labor.

i will try to provide you with a few images of your new baby within 24 hours of your delivery to share with family and friends.  digital files will be available 2-3 weeks after your birth. i will only post your photos online with your written permission.
